It’s probably no surprise, following my previous post about the Weaver’s War, but I went right ahead and updated the covers for the Kin Chronicles as well.
As I mentioned in the last cover reveal, whilst I adored the old covers, it was past time for an update and I am super, SUPER happy with the new ones. So, without further ado, here we go:
And, of course, Tobias wouldn’t be left out:
How cool are they?
Answer: SO COOL, Sammy. So. Cool.
Again, these are available online, but it’s only the covers that have changed (oh, and that one spot in Aislinn’s Shadow where there was a casualty hand shake, thanks to the reader who pointed that out, haha). Everything else is the same as it was before! So, if you’ve read it, all good. If not… check them out! Many fun times to be had!
As with the Weaver’s War, if you have either a print or a digital copy with the old Kin Chronicles covers, you are now in possession of a collector’s item! (Yaaaaaaay!)
From here on in, the covers you see above will be sticking around. Print copies will be available as soon as I get confirmation from the printer! I’ll let you know when, I promise.
Fancy a present?
There is, actually, one more little thing. In all this chaos, I wrote and edited a Kin Chronicles novella about Dominic’s older sister, Deanna. She hasn’t played a big part in the series to date, but she stuck in my mind and I decided to explore her character a little further – this cheeky novella is the result!
Because the novella is a standalone installment in the Kin Chronicles series (meaning that you don’t have to have read the previous books to understand what’s going on) I decided to give it away for FREE.
Yep. A gift, from me to you!
If you’d like to find out more about Deanna’s Ghost, click the picture above to read the blurb. If you don’t care about the blurb and are simply itching to get your hands on a copy, here’s how it works: simply sign up to my authorly newsletter, and you’ll get an email with directions to download your copy for whatever e-reading device you own.
Hooray! I hope you love it as much as I do; Deanna and Noah turned out to be heaps of fun and there are a couple of cameos in here from other characters who I adored exploring further, too. If you’ve read the earlier novels, you might see a few people you recognise! And if you haven’t read the other books, then welcome to the world of the Kin – buckle up for a wild ride!

*more happy dancing*
Well, that’s it from me today. Whew! New covers and a freebie, not bad for a day’s work, right?
If you feel the inclination, why not comment below, or email me at samwrites@sliceofsammy.com and tell me: which of the new covers do you like best, and why?
And when you’ve read through Deanna’s Ghost… I’d love to hear about it!
Until next time, happy reading.
Love,
Sammy
