I’ve been putting this off.

There’s no diplomatic way to say that, yet I’ve always believed an unvarnished truth to be far preferable to a well-dressed fabrication.

If you’re reading this, then I guess you’re prepared for unvarnished truths – and all to the good, because I fear this post will contain a fair few of them.

I have been missing for a while. (Again.) Those of you who’ve been readers since the beginning may have noticed; anyone who’s new may have not. Either way… it’s been some time. There was an unfortunate attack of Real Life that needed my full and undivided attention, and it has left me only just now coming out the other side.

As with any tale, there are longs and shorts. The relevant details are that, after much effort and with great heartache, the marriage I shared with my husband has come to an end. In an effort to respect and protect my privacy, and that of my two children, I have made the decision to adopt a pen name for myself going forward.

So, without getting stuck on all the sad and tricky parts, I shall henceforth be known as Samantha Stormfury.

Nothing about my writing or books has changed. All the stories remain the same; I have simply updated the covers on the pre-existing novels to reflect my new name. If you own a copy written under my original name, then you now own a collector’s item!

I hope you can all understand why this decision has been made, and forgive any frustration or confusion the name change may cause. Things might feel a little odd at first, but once we’ve all settled in, I think we’re going to get along just fine!
